Established in 1965, Brookfield Tennis Centre has been providing tennis coaching and court hire facilities to the local community for just on 50 years.
Getting young kids into the game of tennis is a focus of the Brookfield Tennis Centre. We provide a pathway for their development from fundamental motor skills for the pre-prep aged kids through to competitive junior player programs for those that seek to take their game more seriously.
We have an excellent coaching staff of nine and together coach junior and adult players from beginners to advanced standards.
We have a wonderful community of senior players who play most mornings and nights and have been playing at the Brookfield Tennis Centre for decades and bring much laughter and character to our Centre.
Head coach and owner, Roanne Lemmon-Warde, has well-established tennis credentials having represented South Africa as their top junior player. Roanne competed in junior Wimbledon, French and Italian Opens and has coached in America, Europe, South Africa and Australia.
Roanne will be supported by Club Professional coach Beatriz Signori who has 10 years coaching experience.

Co-owner and qualified Junior Development Coach John Lemmon-Warde will assume the role of Business Manager. Having left professional services firm KPMG, John takes great pleasure in seeing little kids learn new skills. Being with active kids is a passion of John’s and he will be doing all he can to bring programs to the community that see our children develop their sporting and social skills.
We have a dedicated team of nine coaches that deliver the coaching program to our clients.
The majority have formal tennis coaching qualifications through Tennis Australia with a particular emphasis on Junior Development and Adult programs such as Cardio and FIT Tennis. Our coaching philosophy includes teaching kids to take ownership and responsibility for their development. Our lesson are designed to incorporate technical and technical development along with drills that resemble match play whilst at the same time ensuring the kids are enjoying the journey.
Club Professional Coach
Roanne began playing tennis at the age of 7. She was ranked top SA junior girl from U12 to U18. She was selected for the South African Junior team to tour Europe and participate in various overseas tournaments including Junior Wimbledon, French Open, Italian Open and numerous other tournaments around the world. She was awarded a full tennis scholarship to attend Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
Roanne has 15 years coaching experience. She coached in the USA, Germany, South Africa and now in Australia. She managed and coached various State Teams in South Africa.
She has been coaching tennis for 7 years in Australia. She is also employed as a Tennis Australia Talent Development Coach as well as being a Super 10’s coach.
Roanne currently plays Fixtures in the top division of the Brisbane Ladies Tennis League with Sharon, as well as playing in the some AMT or Seniors tournaments.

Beatriz began playing tennis at the age of 5. Having grown up in Sao Paulo, Brazil where her family still reside, she went on to a tennis scholarship at Tennessee Wesleyan University, Tennessee, United States, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
She has subsequently completed her MBA here in Australia. Following her graduation from Tennessee, Beatriz has obtained years of junior development tennis coaching experience internationally. Highlights include at the Kim Clijsters Academy in Belgium, Sommerville House here in Brisbane, Tennis for Kids in Brisbane and now at the Brookfield Tennis Centre.
Beatriz loves the game and gets joy from seeing players develop. She is currently completing her Tennis Australia Club Professional Coaching qualification.
Junior Development Coach
John played tennis growing up and participated in numerous junior tournaments in South Africa.
John has been coaching tennis for the last 6 years in Australia. John has a Junior Development Coaching qualification through Tennis Australia and is also a Tennis Australia Super 10’s Coach.
The Brookfield Tennis Centre is a Family Owned Business nestled in the picturesque rural setting of Brookfield 20 minutes west of the Brisbane CBD. It is a community based Tennis Centre that caters to the playing and development needs of people of all ages and standards of tennis.
With four synthetic turf courts and an elevated viewing deck with shade and amenities it is a wonderful place to play and watch the game.
